This Privacy Policy explains how Soundlizer ("we", "us", or "our") handles data through our mobile application (Soundlizer, available on Google Play), desktop companion app (Soundlizer Connect), and our website (www.soundlizer.com). By using our services, you agree to the terms described here.

2. What We Collect

No Personal Accounts or Logins

We do not collect names, emails, passwords, or other personal identifiers.

Payment Information

All in-app purchases and subscriptions are processed securely through Google Play. We do not access or store any billing information.

Image Downloads via API

When using certain features, the app may retrieve images from external sources through our API. These requests may involve technical data such as device type and IP address, which are processed only temporarily and not stored or logged by us.

We do not associate these image requests with any user identity, and we do not track or analyze image usage. All image processing is done to enhance the user experience in the app.

User-Generated Templates

The app allows users to create custom templates and visual configurations. These are stored locally on your device.

If in the future a sharing feature is introduced, templates you choose to share may be transmitted through our servers for the purpose of enabling access by other users. In such cases, no personal information is attached to the templates unless explicitly provided by you.

Usage Data

We may collect limited, anonymous technical data such as:

Device type and OS version
App version
Basic interaction logs (e.g., feature usage, crashes)

This data is used solely for analytics and improving app performance. It is non-personal and does not allow us to identify you.

Audio Data (Mobile & Desktop Apps)

Both the Soundlizer mobile app and Soundlizer Connect desktop app process audio data in real time for visualization purposes.

Mobile App:

May access the audio output of other apps (e.g., music players) using system-level permissions.
May capture metadata such as song title, artist, album name, and cover art, when available.
May access the microphone to visualize ambient sound or voice input, only if the user grants explicit permission.

No audio or metadata is recorded, stored, or transmitted to our servers. All processing is done locally on the user’s device.

Desktop App:

Captures system audio output and extracts frequency spectrum and metadata for visualization. This data is sent locally to the mobile app over a direct device connection. It is never uploaded or stored externally.

Local Storage (Mobile App Only)

The Soundlizer mobile app stores certain files on your device. These include:

Visualization templates
Image and graphic assets
App configuration or cached data

This data is stored only on your device and is not transmitted to our servers or shared with third parties. You can remove this data by clearing the app storage in your device settings.

Data Retention

We do not retain any personal data on our servers. All processing occurs locally or through anonymized analytics. Any data stored on your device remains there and is under your control.

Improve app stability, performance, and user experience
Understand general usage trends (anonymously)

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties. Anonymous usage data may be processed using third-party services (e.g., crash reporting or analytics platforms), strictly for improving app performance.

Our website (www.soundlizer.com) is hosted in the Netherlands, and we apply industry-standard security measures to protect user data. While no transmission method is 100% secure, we take all reasonable precautions.

6. Your Rights

We do not collect or store any personally identifiable information. As such, there is no personal data associated with your use of the Soundlizer apps or website that can be retrieved or deleted.

7. Children’s Privacy

Our services are not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
